WEEK 3 AND WEEK 4



Good morning, 

The following activities are your homework for the next two weeks: 
  • Activities 1 to 6 for school week 3 (27th to 30th of April). Deadline: 4th of May at 14:00.
  • Activities 7 to 14 for school week 4 (4th to 8thof May). Deadline: 11th of May at 14:00.

Las siguientes actividades son vuestras tareas para las próximas dos semanas:
  • Actividades 1 a 6 para la semana escolar 3 (del 27 al 30 de abril). Plazo límite para su envío: 4 de mayo a las 14:00.
  • Actividades 7 a 13 para la semana escolar 4 (del 4 al 8 de mayo). Plazo límite para su envío: 11 de mayo a las 14:00.

WEEK 3 (27th to 30th of April)

ACTIVITY 1




After studying unit 4 (Good days), it’s time for you to evaluate your learning. Copy these sentences and circle can or can’t.







ACTIVITY 2

Now, it’s time to start unit number 7. Go to a NEW page in your notebook and make the frontpage of this unit (la portada). You have to include:

- The title: Unit 7. Space.

- A drawing.
 

ACTIVITY 3
Watch this video to learn the vocabulary, both oral (the pronunciation) and written (the spelling). You DON’T have to send anything.


ACTIVITY 4
Listen to this recording and answer the questions.



Now, go to page 62 of your book and read the text to check your previous answers. If you don’t have the book, click here to see this page: Page 62.

ACTIVITY 5
Copy the chart, including the definitions and the gaps (DO NOT PRINT IT). Then, write the name of the elements and draw, as in the example. This is now your picture dictionary.

The missing elements are: a planet, a star, a telescope, the Moon, an alien, an astronaut, a comet, a spaceship.

WEEK 4 (4th to 8thof May)


ACTIVITY 7
Copy the sentences and complete them with the words in the box. Then listen to the recording and check (activity 28 at page 69).






ACTIVITY 8
Use the words in the box and match what each question word asks about (pay attention to the answers if you need help). After that, write two more examples of answers in each question word.





ACTIVITY 9
Order the words to make questions, as in the example, and write them in your notebook.



ACTIVITY 10
Choose the WRONG (incorrecta) answer for each question (you don't have to copy the questions and answers, just the odd one out):

Complementary (voluntaria): Look at the answers. Write questions for each one starting with the question words on the right.




ACTIVITY 12
There are a lot of words that have the same sound but are written with a different spelling. Watch this video from https://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/spell/the-space-adventure and pay attention to the pronunciation. After that, match the words with a similar sound in the chart; you have an example.

Copy these sentences and complete them with the correct word, as in the example.
